If Mexican food is among his favorites and also occasionally enjoy a good tequila, take note: a unique taco truck will soon be roaming the streets of Central Florida.

As part of the marketing strategy to strengthen the market launch of the Camarena Family tequila brand, a “taco truck” will be giving away tacos made with recipes specially created by chef Andy Williams from 9 April.

Williams, a resident of Clermont, does not hide his excitement about participating in this initiative.

“The first thing I did was test the tequila, and was excellent. The [tequila] Silver is well defined and clear, gold is rich, creamy and a great color. Each one has its own identity. I came to the conclusion that the gold was better with the pork, and chicken silver, “said culinary expert, who with his wife Cindy at the front of a food business for small groups and events.

After a rigorous selection process, Williams – who grew up in the Chicago area, a Mexican mother – began work on the tax challenge: developing taco recipes that use tequila as an ingredient.

Note that the principle developed several recipes that incorporated the traditional Mexican drink in the preparation of meat, but the end result, but it was good, he felt something was missing.

“That was how I thought about the Chicago style hot dogs, which are placed as a topping all sorts of toppings, which makes them very popular. I did make several jalapeños marinated in tequila, and that’s how I managed to give a touch to the studs, “he said.

The plan is that Williams will prepare for a month in a kitchen of Clermont, tacos (between 200 and 300 each day) that will be distributed by truck. There are four varieties of tacos: carnitas (pork) marinated in tequila gold, with salsa “Wide BBQ chili, rice and cilantro sour cream, chicken marinated in tequila silver with refried beans, cheese and pico de gallo latino with sour cream, pork sausage and a vegetarian, in which the eggplant is submerged in tequila chile and served with black beans, salsa verde and sour cream. All blocks are decorated with a special touch of jalapeño.

For Williams, the cuisine of the Southwest is a passion inherited from his mother’s family, originally from Chihuahua. “I love to experiment with the combination of flavors,” he says.

The chef was in front of the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant in Hollywood Studios theme park, but now concentrates his attention on your business and develop your personal brand – Chef Andy – in Central Florida and other markets. As seen in movies and TV series, Williams cooking for small groups (from couples celebrating their anniversary to families gather for a party) in their own homes, as well as for groups and corporate businesses. Recognizes that the economic downturn has affected its market niche, but indicates that diversification has been key to its success.

So when not cooking, is teaching at a local Clermont or creating new recipes. Ensures you will get on the truck Camarena and proudly shared her heels.

The tequila market in the U.S. is a highly competitive, but that does not diminish the enthusiasm of the Camarena family to cross the border with your product, a liqueur 100 percent blue agave harvested from the hills of Los Altos, Jalisco.

The entire process is in charge of the family – six generations of dedication to the task of producing the drink – and the contents of each bottle is distilled twice. Each bottle is packaged, labeled and packaged by hand. Marketed in the U.S. are only two presentations, gold tequila (gold) and silver (silver), with a suggested retail price of $ 20.
